The rayon fibers and polynosic fibers, the same group as cuprammonium rayon fiber, are made from pulp as raw material. By contrast, the cuprammonium rayon fibers are made from cotton linters as main raw material.
The cuprammonium rayon fibers are manufactured in fine yarn and used, in large quantities, for tricot fabrics and thin fabrics, because they are flexible and in good tactile feeling to the human skin. The cuprammonium rayon fiber are manufactured mainly in filament yarn but are also manufactured, in a little quantity, in staple fibers.
